Invitation
This Sunday 24th May we will be having our Corporate Challenge event with a number of local businesses/organisations competing for the Ballarat Corporate Challenge Cup. These crews have been training with our coaches for the past five weeks and are really looking forward to showing their rowing skills on regatta day.
As part of the festivities of the day we’ll also be holding some 500 metre scratch crew (Tub 4+) events for all club members followed by a BBQ at the shed where we can celebrate the end of a fantastic race season.
For members that would like to have a race in one of our scratch events please come down to the finish line area (adjacent to Loreto College) at 9.30am where we will take your name and draw crews. These social races will begin just after 10am. In the event of bad weather, the race course may be moved to a sheltered location on the lake, however we still plan to go ahead as long as conditions are safe.
After the races all participants, family and friends are invited back to the shed for a BBQ and presentation of the Ballarat Corporate Challenge Cup. There will be a small charge of $5 per person for lunch and if anyone can help out by bringing along a salad we would be most appreciative. Drinks will also be available at bar prices.
