Club crew
Club rowers can be any age. If you’re a member of the club and want more experience sculling this is a great way to get out and train.
Once again we will be racing in singles, doubles and quads this season so consider getting ready now to be able to jump in any boat to race!
Coxswain
Our crews will need coxswains to train and race with all season - if you’d like to cox a crew please register your interest.
Cox membership at WBRC is free so please also sign up at https://www.wbrc.com.au/join-us
Masters crew
Masters are 27yo and over. You may be entered in club grade races depending on numbers and categories available at each regatta.
School crew
School-age rowers are welcome to express their interest - some sculling experience preferred.
You must be a member of WBRC in 2018-19 season, and are welcome to attend regattas and camps with the club where it doesn’t conflict with any school rowing priorities.
Contact Alicia if you have questions about your eligibility, and how you can get involved in the club.
Registration is closed
WBRC will racing at lots of regattas this year in both sweep and scull boats.
First up, we will be attending the Saltwater Challenge on Maribyrnong River in Essendon on 8 September. This is aimed at crews rowing in quad sculls. We would love to have representatives at all levels from the club.
Please register your interest and provide the names of other rowers you’d like to row with.
We also need experienced coxes to help us navigate our way along the river.
For crews who are available, the first session will be 22 July. This gives you 6 weeks to train for Saltwater.
Training will either be in our coxless quad, coxed quad, doubles and singles. You must be a member of WBRC for the 2018-19 season.
We will make every effort to get you a seat in a crew so if you are keen to participate please register your interest and start training! Contact Alicia on 0433660820 or
captain@wbrc.com.au
if you have any questions or want to discuss your participation.
