    Wendouree-Ballarat RC has added two new boats to our fleet this past year, a brand new Sykes Coxed Quad Scull for junior women named "WBRC Juniors" & a Sykes Coxless Quad Scull for heavy weight men named "Gary Gullock."

    These boats are to be christened on Sunday 17th December at 9:00am, following the formalities we have booked the Boatshed Restaurant for a club breakfast from 9:45am - at your own expense.

    Training sessions are for any junior rower in Ballarat aged 13 - 18, these are not learn to row sessions. All participants must have a minimum of 1 term of rowing experience.

    The program is free for current WBRC Student Members, non members are charged $100 per person, alternatively non-members can register as Student Members - this entitles you to continued training until the end of the 2023-2024 rowing season (July 31 2024).

    Monday 18th to Friday 22nd December 2024 - 7:00am to 9:30am daily.

    Training sessions on Monday to Friday will be standard training in either small, medium or big boats. 

    Saturday 23rd December - 7:00am to 10:30am.

    Interclub Regatta - Crews will be assembled from the participating rowers and a mini regatta will be run! Finishing with a BBQ

    Please note there is a maximum attendance of 30 students for this program, sign up quickly to avoid disappointment.

    Rutherglen Regatta 2024

    Friday 12th to Sunday 14th January 2024

    Wendouree-Ballarat RC is sending a squad to Rutherglen for their annual regatta! Please register at this event to confirm your attendance, crews will be arranged once we know who is attending.

    Transport, Accommodation & Supervision:

    WBRC is not providing overnight transport, accommodation or supervision for any junior rowers. Families, please work together to assist each other... Please email Paul if you require assistance.

    We recommend staying at the Rutherglen Caravan & Tourist Park (, however you are welcome to stay at any accommodation you choose.


    Thursday 11th January, 5:00pm - Derig boats & load trailer

    Friday 12th January, 1:00pm - All rowers & cox's to arrive at regatta centre, please arrange your own transport. (

    Saturday 13th January, All day - Regatta day 1

    Sunday 14th January, Morning - Regatta day 2 (morning session only)

    Sunday 14th January, 1:30pm - Depart for Ballarat (arrive WBRC 6:00pm) Unload trailer, wash & rig boats.

    Regatta Seat Fees:

    This regatta incurs a seat fee and an entry fee:

    • The seat fee is $115 per athlete attending the regatta - this covers trailer towing & coach accommodation. (The more athletes who attend the cheaper this will be).
    • The entry fee is charged by Rowing Victoria for entry into regatta events, this is paid by WBRC then passed on to athletes. Entry fee per event entered is $15 per athlete.
