Wendouree Ballarat Rowing Club Celebrates Athletes and Coach Selected for U19 World Championships

BALLARAT, Australia — May 9, 2023 — The Wendouree Ballarat Rowing Club is immensely proud to announce that two of its talented rowers, Lucy Richardson and Katie Jackson, have been selected to represent Australia in the U19 World Championships. The prestigious event will be held in Paris, France, at the Vaires-sur-Marne venue on August 2nd.

Both Lucy and Katie have demonstrated exceptional skill, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout their time at the Wendouree Ballarat Rowing Club, and their selection to compete at the international level is a testament to their hard work and the strong support of their fellow club members, friends, and families.

The Club is also thrilled to share that our very own Jamie McDonald has been chosen to represent Australia as the coach for these two incredible athletes. Jamie's expertise, experience, and unwavering commitment to the growth and success of our rowers have been instrumental in guiding Lucy and Katie to this incredible achievement.

Wendouree Ballarat Rowing Club President, John King, said, "We are extremely proud of Lucy, Katie, and Jamie for their remarkable accomplishments.
